Overview

Layer [T] manages tools, external APIs, and MCP servers. Implemented in src/tools/, it registers both native TypeScript functions and dynamic MCP clients.

1. Native Identity Verifier (verify_identity)

OpenLiate includes built-in sovereign Indian identity verification (src/tools/builtin/identity.ts):

Aadhaar Validation

  • Rule: Must be exactly 12 numeric digits (cannot start with 0 or 1).
  • Checksum: Mathematical validation using the Verhoeff algorithm (dihedral group D5D_5 permutation and multiplication tables).
  • Privacy: Automatically masked as XXXX-XXXX-1234.

PAN Card Validation

  • Rule: 10-character alphanumeric regex: ^[A-Z]{5}[0-9]{4}[A-Z]{1}$.
  • Taxpayer Classification: The 4th character determines entity classification (P = Individual, C = Company, F = Firm, H = HUF, T = Trust, G = Government).
  • Privacy: Automatically masked as XXXXX1234X.

2. Model Context Protocol (MCP)

OpenLiate natively consumes MCP configs declared under hub/mcp/:
  • mcp:fetch — Safe HTTP fetcher tool (hub/mcp/fetch.json).
  • mcp:agentmail — Transactional agent email delivery (hub/mcp/agentmail.json).
  • mcp:neon — Postgres database operations (hub/mcp/neon.json).
  • mcp:supabase — Supabase client operations (hub/mcp/supabase.json).
